I Would Never Have Guessed Your Children Are On the Spectrum

I have heard this more times than I can remember. Again, this morning at our hotel when I shared that my children are on the spectrum with a mother and grandmother with a newborn at breakfast. This family has 4 children. She was surprised my kids are on the spectrum, and her mother in law said she never would have guessed they were autistic. I shared that I have this website and social media sites because I am on a mission to de-stigmatize what preconceived notions of what “autism” looks like and if my children and I can do that together one interaction at a time, I consider it a success.
